We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Enterprise Applications Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the tools and processes that enable agile development and continuous delivery. You will work closely with development and operations teams to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and ensure the reliability and scalability of our enterprise applications.

The position of Sr. Enterprise Application Engineer (DevOps) at Cox Enterprises is a hands-on engineering position. As a member of our Enterprise Applications/DevOps enablement function, you will work closely with DevOps Architects and Infrastructure Engineers to ensure that our DevOps pipelines are continually functioning to performance levels as expected to support the evolving needs of our customers, the delivery teams. Your primary area of focus will be to implement, integrate, and support a diverse set of DevOps tools residing on our DevOps platform. The successful candidate will have a blend of hands-on and thought leadership capabilities, with a passion for solutioning new capabilities and serving our Delivery Teams as customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with architecture, software development, security, and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure DevOps solutions.
  • Develop, implement, and socialize DevOps best practices. Develop and maintain system architecture, design, and documentation.
  • Develop and automate deployment, configuration, and monitoring processes to streamline software delivery and enhance system performance.
  • Build, manage, and optimize the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring seamless integration and continuous delivery of software updates.
  • Maintain DevOps tools to maintain vendor and security compliance.
  • Support DevOps tools performance to meet agreed upon SLAs.
  • Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect data, systems, and applications.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps, and proactively apply them to improve our development and deployment processes.
  • Proactively address issues and pursue improvements.
  • Document processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and support team members.
  • Collaborate with software developers to streamline the development process.
  • Build and maintain tools for monitoring, notification, and analytics.
  • Identify and implement improvements in the development pipeline.
  • Conduct system tests for security, performance, and availability.
  • Ensure critical resolution of system issues using the best cloud security solutions.
  • Oversee periodic system audits and preparedness for recovery actions.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 16 years' experience in a related field
  • Minimum of 4 Years in a DevOps Engineering role, integrating tools across the DevOps pipeline
  • Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and hands on experience in building CI/CD pipelines with relevant tools ( GitHub, GitHub Actions, YML CI/CD, Flexdeploy, Terraform, SonarQube, Ansible, Wiz.io, etc. ).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud, AWS including infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and security.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform , CloudFormation, or ARM templates.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting SAFe Agile teams.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) to streamline deployment and maintenance processes.
  • Lucid Charts experience with architectural diagram, producing visual workflows and presenting DevOps Solutions to customers.


USD 90,100.00 - 150,100.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $90,100.00 - $150,100.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
