Position Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Production and Material Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and timely procurement, planning, and management of materials to support production operations. This role demands strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Sales-Oriented Production Planning: Based on sales to plan production and materials. Monitor production status.

- Material Planning: Develop effective strategies to ensure adequate inventory levels and timely availability of materials for production.

- Understand Product Structure: Quickly learn a LIMS-like system to understand product structure and its relationship with production tasks and sales.

- Procurement: Place orders within or between companies in SRM.

- Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize excess stock and reduce holding costs while meeting production requirements.

- Demand Forecasting: Work with the sales to obtain customer forecasts. Analyze historic sales data to predict material requirements and planning accordingly.

- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance material planning efficiency and effectiveness.

- Reporting: Generate and maintain reports on material status, inventory levels, and supplier performance, providing insights and recommendations to management.


Position Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Scientific background is preferred.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning or procurement, production operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

- Proficiency in material planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
