Hours Per Week:40 Work Schedule: Position Type:Full-Time Staff, Non-Exempt Position Summary The Technician is responsible for supporting the implementation of student engagement efforts through print and electronic communications that directly promote programs and courses in the School of Continuing Education and Workforce Development. The Technician is responsible for dissemination of information to the general public and students, performing technical and administrative functions to support enrollment and marketing activities. The Technician works with students, instructors, vendors, staff and senior administrators.
This position typically reports to a Manager or Assistant Director.

Pay dates occur on the 7th and 22nd of each month. If those dates fall on a weekend, the pay date occurs on the Friday prior to the 7th and 22nd. As an employee of the college, you are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.

The college will annually review this restriction and, if appropriate, expand the list of states of employment eligibility Job Duties and Responsibilities PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT: Assists department staff with course and program performance analysis to support the enhancement and implementation of innovative continuing education and/or credit open enrollment and contract training courses and programs. At the request of department staff, the Technician conducts environmental scans and uses labor market data such as EMSI to identify emerging program and course opportunities. The Technician also completes the administrative and technical functions to prepare and distribute student opinion forms (course evaluations) for all noncredit courses.
STRATEGIC PLANNING: Assists ESA Manager with implementing tasks in support of departmental marketing plans to help them achieve their strategic plan goals.
ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT: Provides ongoing support for prospective student engagement through scheduled text, email and social media communications to assist departments with moving students through the recruitment process and helping them achieve enrollment goals. Monitors text message and email systems for student inquiries and responds or forwards to appropriate staff as needed.
MARKETING: Assists in the implementation of marketing and outreach initiatives through collaboration with department staff and Strategic Communications. Assists CEWD departments with the updating and maintenance of CEWD content on the AACC website as well as content provided on external sites for vendors or contract training. Assists CEWD departments with social media outreach.
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL COLLABORATION: Coordinates with other AACC department staff to ensure accurate understanding of departmental goals and emerging areas for growth.
BUDGET AND FISCAL MANAGEMENT: Provides ESA management with cost, impressions, click through, and other performance data from text, email and social media systems to assist with the cost-benefit analysis of marketing efforts and overall program success.
COMPLIANCE: Works with the ESA Senior Technician, ESA management, and Strategic Communications to ensure compliance with established AACC marketing and purchasing protocols.
OTHER DUTIES: As assigned by supervisor. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED
Minimum two years of related experience in developing and performing outreach and student engagement initiatives in an educational institution, training organization or professional association.
Ability to utilize college standard word processing, spreadsheet and database systems, such as Colleague, at an advanced to expert level.
Demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive environment and ability to deal tactfully with all internal and external constituents. Preferred Qualifications: Strong customer service and problem solving skills.
Experience administering programs in a higher education environment.
Experience gathering workforce and occupation market data from public and private sources, such as the US Bureau of Labor Statistics or EMSI Analyst.
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, handling multiple, complex tasks simultaneously.
Ability to function with minimal supervision with attention to details and deadlines, including the ability to work a flexible schedule and travel to accommodate the needs of the school.
