Scheduling Supervisor

Willamette Valley Cancer Institute and Research Center are looking for a Scheduling Supervisor to join their team at their central business office in Eugene, OR. Under general supervision, this role is responsible for coordination and operation of scheduling functions. This role also acts as a liaison with physicians, patients and office staff and is responsible for development, administration and oversight of scheduling procedures for each physician, lab and chemotherapy department.

The general pay scale for this position at WVCI is $56,000-$82,000. The actual hiring rate is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, education, job/position responsibilities, location, work performance, etc.

Employment Type: Full Time - 1.0 FTE (40 hrs/week)

Responsibilities

  • Oversees all scheduling functions
  • Recruits, hires, and supervises scheduling staff in addition to developing and attaining performance goals and objectives.
  • Evaluates performance and recommends merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Provides assistance and coverage for scheduling functions as required.
  • Maintains scheduling guidelines to coordinate physician, lab and chemotherapy schedules.
  • Reviews schedules daily for accuracy.
  • Corrects conflicts in the schedules as needed.
  • Coordinates scheduling procedures with front office, medical staff, insurance and billing departments to ensure smooth transition and accurate information.
  • Trains new employees in scheduling department. Updates, informs and trains staff as needed on new procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Seven years of medical office experience.
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
