DCS TRAINING & CURRICULUM DIRECTOR 1 Department of Children's Services Training Division Knoxville, TN Salary Range $4517.00 - $5638.00 monthly Closing Date: 01/27/2025

Job Overview:

Under direction, is responsible for training programs management and curriculum development work of average difficulty; and performs related work as required. An employee in this class functions either as the director of training and curriculum development for the state institutional program, children's services program, or as the assistant director of the same but larger program.

Work involves developing the curriculum and the methods of program delivery and supervising the training staff. This class differs from that of Training and Curriculum Director 2 in that an incumbent of the latter supervises an incumbent in this class and directs a statewide training program, including curriculum development.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree and experience equivalent to three years of full-time professional closely related program or counseling work and one year of training, or related work with a state institutional program, children's services program or private agency that includes training duties.
  • Additional graduate coursework in one of the above areas may be substituted for the required non-specialized experience on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two years.
  • Qualifying full-time professional experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of four years.
