Summary of Position

Kinsley Materials is actively searching for a motivatedAssistant Divisional Controllerto join our team at the York, PA Office. The selected candidate will be tasked with managing the division's accounting functions, providing financial information about the division's activities to assist management in achieving divisional goals and supporting the division's operations teams by contributing their financial mindset. We are looking for a successful candidate with applicable industry experience, an analytical mindset, robust computer skills, effective organizational abilities, strong communication skills, self-motivation to identify future opportunities for improvement, and a keen willingness to learn.

Typical Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Manage the division's accounting functions including A/R, A/P, Inventory, and GL.
  • Maintain various division-specific software related to accounting functions.
  • Collaborate with the operations teams to analyze projects for financial success.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, customers, and others courteously and professionally.
  • Assist with the development of the annual budget.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.
  • Provide support to the corporate accounting team.
  • Develop and document accounting processes to maintain and strengthen efficiency and accuracy within the division's accounting functions.
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects to identify potential financial impacts by compiling various reports.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining accurate cost standards.
  • Perform the division's monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained.

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Prior industry experience is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Ability to both manage staff and work independently.
  • Proficiency in computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Prior accounting experience.
