Summary of Position Kinsley is currently seekingPipe Foremanfor our growing Civil site pipe crews based in North East, MD. Successful candidates should possess a willingness to learn, have a good work ethic and a positive attitude. Typical Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Effectively lead, manage, and motivate crews of 5 to 10 individuals
- Supervise the installation of new pipes in trench for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains
- Successfully manage and schedule subcontractors
- Interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications
- Plan and schedule for necessary manpower, tools, materials, and equipment needed to complete the job
- Responsible for completing daily timesheets and maintaining daily logs
- Job Site Hazard Recognition and Safety Compliance
- Equipment Maintenance and Operation as needed.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of field leadership experience is required
- Must possess knowledge of GPS systems
- Ability to follow and enforce all correct safety procedures
- Applicants should possess knowledge of underground utility installation, excavation regulations, and pipeline safety
- Minimum of 3 years' experience is required for the equipment operator position
- Ability to work in a crew-based and fast-paced environment
- Punctuality and dependabilityare required
- Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods and sometimes in unfavorable weather conditions
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling of materials
- Ability to work both independently and as a team player
- Ability to pass DOT pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
