Summary of Position We are seeking detail oriented and experienceFabricatorsfor our growing industrial fabrication team in York, PA. A successful candidate should have a willingness to learn and basic understanding of complex drawings and instructions. Typical Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Layout, fit up, assemble and fabricate using engineered drawings.
- Welding structural and plate steel parts as specified per drawings and marked up weld symbols.
- Experience with pipe fitting and welding is preferred.
- Maintain good housekeeping.
- Obtain and maintain the required welding certification(s).
- Assure the structural components are welded correctly with visual inspection.
- Safely operate overhead cranes, air arc, grinder and magnetic drill and any other required tools of the trade.
- Communicate up and down the line to ensure quality and completeness.
- Assure work is completed in a safe manner while following all required safety policies.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor including but not limited to, cleaning work area, operating break machine, shear and other production related jobs.
Experience & Education
- Prior experience operating Overhead Cranes is preferred
- Prior welding experience is preferred
- Welding certification in D1.1 2G/3G is preferred
- Must be flexible to work overtime and Saturdays as needed
- Must have strong mathematical skills
- Ability to read and understand drawings and instructions
