The Opportunity:

As an expert in defense missions, your unique background inspires you to think bigger, push further, and askquestions others don't. We need your extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills to solve some of ourclients' most complex problems-and find solutions that keep our nation safe.

As a Defense Mission Expert, you'll use your extensive technical expertise to lead the design of solutions for data strategy, governance, and analytic activities. You'll resolve routine data issues in collaboration with business analysts and technology teams by creating and implementing standardized application programming interfaces for accessing data and leading the integration of metadata across disparate platforms into a central data catalog to provide critical business insights across the Army enterprise. In this role, you'll share your technical expertise, introduce best practices, and use tools like NoSQL databases, Java, SQL, R, and Python to establish the data ingestion methods, data storage, and data transformation methods to initiate dataactivities, including extract-transform-load(ETL)processes and data warehouse solutions design, through business needs analysis and routine issue resolution. You'll lead your team as it designs, defines, develops, and tests cloud solution components, and serve as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure that requirements are met, and solutions are delivered.With your motivation to establish processes and facilitate technological innovation, you'll make a lasting impact on Army data business and solution initiatives.

You Have:

  • Experience with data requirements

  • Experience analyzing and documenting existing data structures

  • Experience guiding the development of data products and pathway to registration in ADC

  • Experience defining data product requirements based on mission and policy

  • Experience collaborating with multiple domains and governance leadership in the WMA mission area

  • Knowledge of data governance for WMA data assets

  • Knowledge of the registration of data products into the Army Data Catalog

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
