Role Overview:

At SIEE, our goal is to make PlayStation the best place to work by ensuring flawless communication and collaboration globally through our information and technology platforms.

The SIE IT - Corporate Applications department implements and supports products and services for PlayStation's Sales, Finance, and Operations. SAP is the strategic solution: the estate includes SAP ERP, BW, and SAP IBP. We need an expert SAP Engineer - IBP to deliver solutions in the S&OP module.

You will help us accomplish our goal of establishing a top-notch Sales & Operations Planning process globally within SAP IBP. You will do this by working closely with business and technical teams to understand Supply Chain and Sales & Operations Planning processes (including production planning and scheduling). Your role will involve creating and implementing secure, high-performance technical solutions that make full use of SAP product capabilities to meet these needs.

You have experience working in a team that delivered large-scale IBP solutions and implemented SAP package solutions using tools and methodologies.


What you'll be doing:

Providing technical support in the continued implementation and development of SIE's SAP IBP platform, including but not limited to:



  • Supporting the SAP IBP technical solution globally and ensuring it meets business goals by:



  1. Providing support for the implementation of all key functional and non-functional requirements on the IBP platform;
  2. Contributing to the solution design for all proposed new features and changes on the platform;
  3. Assuring the quality of the solution;
  4. Detailing the approach for the release of system changes;
  5. Taking on planning and delivery actions to resolve systems and infrastructure 'blockers';



  • Translating business strategy into product strategy by:



  1. Identifying business collaborators and engaging with them to discover, understand, and define business problems and opportunities;
  2. Understanding existing business processes, mapping out process flows and identifying areas for improvement;
  3. Contributing to interface design, and co-ordinating and assisting with integration testing as required;
  4. Collaborating with business collaborators, driving standardization and adoption of SAP standard methodologies globally whenever possible;



  • As required, working closely with internal and third-party technical teams to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues (including performance) issues:



  1. Prioritizing user tickets and assigning calls to the accurate resolver group;
  2. Identifying technical issues and reviewing with business and technical teams;
  3. Implementing, and co-ordinating the testing and release of fixes;
  4. Reviewing Quarterly SAP IBP Upgrades and assessing impact on the platform;
  5. Finding opportunities for capitalizing on new features;

  • Collaborating with business process architect groups to develop efficient technical solutions in the areas of IBP and S&OP;
  • Working with business users of IBP to understand process or technical issues and understand business requirements;
  • Demonstrable experience in managing supply chain planning applications using SAP IBP, Hana DB and SAP Cloud Platform, including design and development experience in S&OP, Demand Planning, Inventory Planning and Replenishment modules;
  • Working successfully across the full lifecycle of technology-enabled change: from requirements definition through solution design, build, testing to transition to live operation;
  • Leadership in development, implementation and support of global initiatives across various time zones.


Broad and sound understanding of one or more of the following areas is desirable:



  • Demand / Supply / Production / Logistics Planning in a High-Energy Consumer Goods (HECG) environment;
  • Product data management including Bill of Materials;
  • Data interfaces and system integration;
  • Financial reporting and reconciliation;
  • Working effectively with off shore / near shore service providers;
  • Working with ITIL, Prince2 & Agile methodologies;
  • Collaborating with a diverse range of collaborators and customers within a matrix organization;
  • Skilled at influencing and negotiation, comfortable dealing with senior collaborators and willing to challenge them based on sound reasoning;
  • Excellent written, verbal, social and decision-making skills;
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, working well under pressure, remaining focused and calm in the face of distractions and changing priorities;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;


Working with the following tools (or similar):

  • Ticket Management (e.g. JIRA, Service Now);
  • Collaboration (e.g. Confluence, Trello);
  • Communication (e.g. Slack, Webex, Skype for Business);
  • Working within controlled/compliance-based environments (particularly Sarbanes Oxley) would be beneficial;


Your technical development and support abilities will include the following:



  • SAP IBP S&OP, Demand Planning, Response & Supply, Inventory and/or DDMRP as well as Production Planning Optimisation;
  • Experience with inbound/outbound data integration using CPI-DS and other integration solutions;
  • Experience with Excel and Web UI to support the planning activities;
  • BW and S4 functional areas such as MDG, MM, SD and PP (beneficial);
  • ABAP (beneficial).

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

In addition, this role

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$159,000 $238,600 USD
