THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks including scheduling, transporting, and accompanying clients to various appointments such as medical, dental, and recreational activities, as well as to foster homes and court hearings. You will provide essential information to clients and the community, assist clients and their families with daily living activities like home management, meal planning, budgeting, and childcare training. Additionally, you will offer guidance to social service professionals regarding clients' needs and their progress towards set goals. The role also involves the collection and delivery of clients' belongings and other necessary materials. You will supervise children during office visits and in crisis situations at home, while also performing routine clerical tasks such as mail handling, filing, answering phones, and maintaining order in waiting and visit rooms.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Graduation from high school; or
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Other Requirements:

  • This particular position also requires you to possess a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
