Assistant Scientist - Level 1 US Category: Life Science Employment Type: Contract Reference: BH-381607 Yoh Scientific is actively recruiting or a Quality Control Microbiologist (Assistant Scientist) to work a contract assignment in Zebulon, NC Title: QC Microbiologist - Assistant Scientist Duration: One year with possibility of extension Location: Zebulon, NC (onsite) Work Schedule: Full-time. Pay Rate: $30 - $36/hour, based on experience Responsibilities: Conduct routine testing of raw materials, packaging materials, finished products and environmental samples using approved methods and various instrumentation, (e.g., VITEK MS, Microscope, Gram Staining, Autoclave, etc.) while adhering to cGMP and established policy Generate valid data at expected levels of productivity while adhering to cGMP Interpret validity of own test data and generate accurate results Advise immediate supervisor or designee of all important aspects of testing including deviations Evaluate data generated by others in the analytical group Accurately document data and review official laboratory documents (e.g., SOPs, Technical reports, Methods, and specifications) Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments Assist in training other laboratory personnel on methods, instrumentation, and computer systems Maintain appropriate documentation of training activities Participate in interdepartmental project teams or committees Understand data integration and calculation of results Demonstrated opportunities for continued career growth driven by individual ambition Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology or Science with 1+ year of pharmaceutical experience with an understanding of Microbiology laboratory practices and testing including Raw Material, MLT and Product Testing Experience in the following: Environmental Monitoring and Compressed Gas and Utility Testing using SAS, Mattson Garvin Sampler, or similar testing equipment Collecting samples (air, swab, surface) from varies locations in production area Gowning, plate reading, performing water analysis Providing general QC testing support Utilizing Microscopes, Laminar Flow hood and general aseptic technique Full understanding of the requirements and application of GMP principles in a laboratory environment Good verbal and written communication on an individual and group basis targeted to appropriate audiences of several levels within GMS Compliance to all federal and state US Transparency requirements *Opportunity is Calling,* Apply Now!
