The Big Picture - Top Skills Should You Possess: THE COMPANY is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join their team Onsite in Mansfield, MA. This role offers the opportunity for career growth, with the potential to advance to an Assistant Controller position within 1-2 years. Reporting to the VP of Finance and Accounting, the Corporate Accountant will oversee general ledger accounting, tax filings, client reporting, and month-end processes. What You Need to Bring to the Table: Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience. 3-8 years of accounting experience, with 4+ years strongly preferred. Expertise in balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, and sales tax filings. Familiarity with month-end close processes. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, etc.). Experience with ERP systems, with Workday preferred. What You'll Be Doing: Tax Filings: File meals and sales tax across multiple states. Manage tax registrations for new states as the company expands. Accounting and Financial Operations: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and enhance operational workflows. Ensure proper internal controls are in place and regularly monitored. Assist with month-end close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations. Audit and Compliance: Coordinate CPA audits and other internal or external audits. Investigate compliance-related issues and provide necessary resolutions. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between finance, sales, and operations to ensure alignment. Provide training and guidance to support center colleagues on accounting-related tasks. Client and Internal Reporting: Prepare accurate financial reports and maintain chart of accounts. Bonus Points!
