JOB SUMMARY

The Product Test Supervisor is responsible for maintaining/enhancing productivity and safety in the department and is responsible for ensuring appropriate training is provided to develop core skills. This role is responsible for all activities that occur in their department. S/he must be thoroughly knowledgeable of all processes, procedures and instructions that are applicable in their respective department. It is expected that the supervisor act as a role model and as an agent of the Company.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

	Supervise employees: Set work assignments and objectives with proper safety, performance and quality expectations clearly communicated and managed to. Assist employees to resolve testing problems & mitigate concerns which impact the team's ability to achieve communicated expectations Maintain accurate time and attendance records using company designated systems. Ensure all employees have current and necessary training, maintain an orderly and safe work environment. Establish expectations of workmanship to meet quality requirements and follow work in process closely to ensure that these are maintained. Investigate processes that are out of conformance and take appropriate action to eliminate. Work closely with others in manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with the established Manufacturing procedures and engineering Instructions. Review processes and departmental layout to assure low production costs and highest shop labor efficiency. Participate in the hiring process and develop training plans for new employees. Regularly assess employee performance to Company expectations through individual review and formal audit programs, resolve employee problems, conduct investigations into safety, quality, or other incidents, and administer discipline within the corporate guidelines. Conduct investigations necessary related to quality, safety, or other production related matters.

Responsible for all activities that occur in their department and therefore must be able to be mobile around the manufacturing areas.
Knowledgeable of all processes, procedures and instructions that are applicable in their respective department.

Advance knowledge of Microsoft Tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
Utilization of time keeping system and Microsoft Suite are required daily.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required Education / Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or Operations Management is preferred.
Candidates with a bachelor's degree in related field or with an associate's degree in a related area plus at least 5 years of manufacturing leadership and experience conducting electrical tests will be considered.

Preferred Education / Experience

Strong knowledge of electricity and practical knowledge of transformers and switchgear is preferred

Must occasionally climb, balance, push, pull, carry, work below wait level and foot use.

Occasionally work at heights (lift, transformer cover) up to 30 feet with fall protection.

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
