Emergency Response: Yes - Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE's emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.

Job Summary
  • Supports the process owner in developing, monitoring, sharing, and improving process clarity, process awareness, process measurement, process improvement and process management. Develops and implements new/revised policies, procedures, programs, initiatives or solutions within the Process or through cross-functional process boundaries. Leads the development and implementation of new/revised policies, procedures, programs, initiatives, or solutions within the process or through cross-functional process boundaries with multiple business units, including Information Technology Systems, Fossil Generation, Nuclear Generation, Distribution Operations, Corporate Security, Generation Optimization, and Renewable Energy. Works closely with the subject matter experts (SME) from numerous business units to ensure North America Electrical Reliability Corp (NERC) Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) and Operations and Planning (NERC 693) process documentation and programs meet the NERC compliance requirements and as ensure that sustainment activities for the processes will meet audit standards. Takes a lead role on behalf of the NERC Compliance Organization (NCO) management in developing, monitoring, sharing, and improving processes and documentation associated with DTE Electric NERC standards adherence. This function includes leading the implementation and continuous improvement of process clarity, process awareness, process performance measurements, process management, and documentation management for NERC CIP and/or 693 standards.
Key Accountabilities

* Leads cross-functional teams in developing, monitoring, and improving performance goals, measures and targets in support of process objectives.
* Identifies skill and knowledge gaps with NERC programs and requirements, and recommends or develops solutions to close those gaps, including potential training needs and development assignments.
* Performs and provides support in obtaining and analyzing data for measurement of process and for process improvement projects.
* Acts as SME for the process, leading teams to develop, analyze, and improve work flows and technology systems for process. Identifies gaps associated with cross-functional process "hand-offs" and recommends solutions to close gaps. Acts as coach or informal leader for compliance process management specialists supporting NCO.
* Provides guidance to interpret current policies for both internal process performers and external customers and organizations.
* Applies change management methodology within the process and recommends revisions to policies or redesign of process as required to meet customer needs and process objectives.
* Leads and manages possible non-compliance activities to ensure that identified violations are corrected and reported on time to external auditors.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

* Associate degree and 8 years of experience in Audit, Internal controls process, Risk analysis and Potential Non-Compliance, OR
* Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience in Audit, Internal controls process, Risk analysis and Potential Non-Compliance

Other Qualifications

Preferred
One or more of the following certifications: CISA, CISSP, Microsoft Security Certification

* Must have a valid driver's license, provide a suitable automobile for occasional use on Company business, and meet Company driving standards.

* Ability to integrate information and apply problem solving skills to target key process issues, develop and implement the plan, and follow through to successful completion.

* Collaborate with peers, leaders, and individual contributors to the team

  • Able to travel up to 50% of workdays as needed
