The Senior Sales Analyst, Commercial will drive value within Nestle Professional Solutions (NPS) by gathering and analyzing data to measure the success of the sales efforts of both the Commercial Chains and Foodservice at Retail Sales teams. The Senior Analyst is required to possess an in-depth knowledge of the business and serve as the data authority for the sales teams. They are expected to provide insights into both historical and current trends, demonstrate critical thinking, and proactively identify areas for analysis beyond conventional sales performance metrics. The ideal candidate must utilize their experience to analyze team dynamics, including key accounts, strategies, market influences, and brand impact, to deliver insightful analyses and strategic recommendations, identifying both opportunities and risks within their team(s). The Senior Analyst should adopt a systematic approach to define objectives, collect data, perform analysis, generate insights, and communicate findings to stakeholders. This role will advocate for Sales by identifying needs and engaging in cross-functional collaboration to create essential support tools.

This role will be based in our Solon, Ohio office and report to the Manager of Sales Analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Serves as data expert for the Commercial Chains and Foodservice at Retail Sales teams, influencing others outside of own job area.
  • Communicates analysis, valuable customer findings, and noteworthy trends and opportunities regarding division performance to stakeholders up, down, and across the company.
  • Has strong self-awareness, is a self-starter.
  • Demonstrates agility with an ability to quickly adapt to change and pivot, as needed.
  • Is an end-to-end thinker that can make sound decisions that benefit the entire ecosystem.
  • Is a strong collaborator and builds rapport, transparency, trust, and strong culture with stakeholders.
  • Acts as an advocate for the teams by understanding their goals and objectives, identifying their needs, and collaborating to create supportive tools.

Planning and Execution

  • Monitor, analyze and measure sales and customer performance within the division.
  • Understand KPI's of the business and share data surrounding those.
  • Comprehend, interpret, and share analysis on past and current performance at the customer, division, and segment levels.
  • Effectively convey analysis and findings with line manager and sales team you support.
  • Participates and/or leads projects as needed.
  • Understands and identifies key business drivers and trends to identify and recognize growth opportunities.
  • Utilizes statistical and analytical methods to review data, uncover patterns and trends, and gain insights into channel performance
  • Understands customer preferences, brand promotions, and market dynamics, and can integrate these into analyses.
  • Contributes to ongoing business reviews with stakeholders.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in Sales analytics, Finance, and/or related function within a matrixed company.
  • Bachelor's Degree, required.
  • Experience analyzing complex data sets to identify and share trends, insights and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational skills to efficiently manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI skills.
  • Experience and understanding of Foodservice preferred.
  • Advanced business and financial acumen, demonstrates strong end-to-end thinking.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
