Position Highlights |
The College of Nursing, Office of Research and Scholarship (ORS) invites applications for the position of Administrative Assistant (Administrative Support Assistant II). The ORS Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Associate Dean for Research, the PhD Program Director, and College of Nursing research faculty and graduate students. They will be responsible for scheduling, maintaining, and staffing meetings (including those of the ADR, PhD PD, research meetings, and faculty candidate interviews), coordinating incoming proposals, maintaining and distributing funding opportunities and The Oracle newsletter, pulling data reports from UAccess Analytics, updating content of the ORS webpages, assisting faculty and graduate students with formatting of posters, presentations, and papers, and other duties as assigned. Duties & Responsibilities |
- Schedule and maintain calendars for the Associate Dean
for Research and PhD Program Director on an ongoing basis. - Schedule and staff research and PhD program meetings,
including creating agendas and meeting minutes on an ongoing basis. - Coordinate faculty candidate interviews as needed.
- Coordinate incoming proposals on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain and distribute list of current funding
opportunities on a monthly basis. - Create and distribute The Oracle newsletter on a
monthly basis. - Pull data reports from UAccess Analytics on a
monthly basis. - Update content of the ORS webpages as needed.
- Assist faculty and graduate students with formatting
posters, presentations, and papers as needed. - Arrange and manage travel arrangements for the Associate Dean for Research and PhD Program Director; to include Travel Authorizations and Travel Expense Reports.
- Monitor and order the Office of Research supplies.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Monitor the Research Offices' two-way intercom system to give building access for research deliveries
- Initiate ZOOM meetings as needed.
- Submit financial PCard transactions to the Business Office.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of University of Arizona Policies and Procedures.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with
faculty, staff, and students. - Ability to create surveys in Qualtrics.
- Ability to work independently.

Minimum Qualifications |
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
