THE ROLE:
The Sr. Manager, HR Business Partner role is a high-impact opportunity for a strategic, people-focused HR leader to partner closely with AMD's dynamic engineering teams. You'll shape and execute talent strategies that align with business priorities, using data and insights to influence decisions and drive results. This position offers a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your work will fuel innovation and support ongoing transformation across the organization.

Your business acumen, coaching mindset, and ability to simplify complexity allow you to guide leaders through change and growth. You are self-motivated, highly organized, and skilled at balancing multiple priorities-always keeping a strategic eye on how HR can enable business success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with HR colleagues and cross-functional teams to innovate, align, and drive effective HR programs and initiatives.

  • Support engineering leadership with pay-for-performance strategies, including salary planning, promotions, and talent calibration.

  • Advise leaders on employee relations and policy interpretation to foster a fair and inclusive workplace.

  • Design and facilitate strategic off-sites and planning sessions to align people strategies with business goals.

  • Use HR dashboards and talent metrics to provide actionable insights and influence decision-making.

  • Analyze engagement results, identify trends, and collaborate with leaders on strategies that enhance team performance and retention.

  • Lead the design and execution of organizational development and talent initiatives.

  • Drive communication and change management plans that align stakeholders and support successful implementation.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience supporting engineering or technical teams in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to extract insights and build compelling narratives from data.

  • Experience operating within a global, matrixed organization.

  • Broad knowledge of HR disciplines including organizational development, performance management, employee relations, change management, and workforce planning.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to influence, build trust, and drive alignment.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
