POSITION: CBRN Enterprise Systems Architect

LOCATION: Pentagon (On Site)

STATUS: Open, Funded

TRAVEL: Up to 25%

CLEARANCE: Active Top-Secret Clearance Required

DESCRIPTION: The CBRN Enterprise Systems Architect provides support in designing and implementing an architecture development effort supporting capability development for management of CBRN threats. Provides technical expertise in creating, updating, and maintaining architecture data as related to the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and the Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS). Serves as a technical liaison with regard to architecture design and software upgrades. Evaluates Integration Definition 1X (IDEF1X) data models as they relate to architecture products.

Primary duties will include (but not limited to):



  • Produce full operational architectures for up to 12 requirements documents or Capabilities Base Assessments (CBA) per year.
  • Produce up to one overarching operational concept architecture per year.
  • Ensure all products generated comply with the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
  • Maintain existing architectures.
  • Conducting at least one DoDAF structural update per quarter.
  • Maintaining all legacy architectures using Government approved configuration management processes.
  • Facilitate the use of architecture software products on the Joint Staff Unclassified and Classified networks.
  • Providing up to two hours per week of assistance to the Unclassified and Secret network System Administrators in maintaining JRO's Architecture Environment.
  • Providing up to two hours per week of assistance to the Unclassified and Secret network System Administrators in troubleshooting specialized architecture software tools.
  • Providing up to eight hours per month of assistance to the Unclassified and Secret network System Administrators with routine maintenance and migrations.
  • Conducting up to three hours per week of lost data reconstruction.



EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



  • At least four (4) years of CBRN defense or CWMD program-specific architecture experience and six (6) years general architecture experience and;
  • At least three (3) years' experience producing military operational architectures and;
  • At least two (2) years' experience with bio-surveillance operational and/or system architectures.
  • Demonstrate expertise in using IBM Rational System Architect and ERwin Data Modeler software with Microsoft UML familiarity.
