Position: Quality Technician III
Location: DeForest, WI
Base pay: $32.17/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 6am-2pm

While reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for problem solving to ensure the quality expectations of every customer, both internal and external. Measuring critical product/process variables, records or reports using appropriate tools and utilizing information to continuously improve. What you'll be doing:
- Assures and maintains safe and healthful working conditions while enforcing safety rules and regulations
- Supports and follows the requirements of the Food Safety & Quality System.
- Help review & revise Food Safety & Quality system documents.
- Perform HFI (hold for inspection) claims (SNOC's) & other administrative paperwork assigned by Management.
- Perform and oversee incoming Mill & Level One Service Provider product inspection.
- Perform and support investigation & disposition of product defects with QA Manager/Operations.
- Perform moderate computer and gauge maintenance as necessary.
- Perform Quality Management System Audits/monthly facility audits as needed.
- Perform moderate root cause analysis, corrective action/preventive action, and continuous improvement activities as needed.
- Gather and sends out requested customer and supplier samples as needed.
- Help cover the QA Technician position when out of the plant for training, vacation.
- Train new QA employees in their respective area.
- Train and work with new floor associates on defect awareness, SQF fundamentals/Food Safety.
- Perform annual defect awareness training with floor associates.
- Work OT as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
We'd love to hear from you if:
- You have broad training in a related field usually acquired through high school education, General Education Development (GED), or through equivalent work experience.
- 2 years of Quality related experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively, write effectively, read, comprehend, and follow complicated verbal and written instruction.
- Have mid-level computer skills to learn and utilize QAD, Excel, Word, Outlook, L2L, Infinity, and other software and programs necessary to perform job functions.
