Schedule Details:This position will strictly be as needed hours with no set schedule. Must have availability a minimum of two days a week, Monday through Friday, and "on-call" for three to four Saturdays per year. You will work primarily dayshift hours. Start times vary, usually 7am to 11am, with shifts averaging 6 to 8 hours. Additionally, it provides transportation services to our patient population and includes some surrounding community initiatives for certain area healthcare facilities. This Position Will Offer You: Engaging and community focused culture Competitive Salaries Opportunity for professional career growth Robust benefits including: Generous PTO;Choices in insurance; HSA;Tuition reimbursement;immediate 401K match;discounted tickets to various entertainment, social and sporting events What You Will Do: The Transportation Specialist provides quality, safe, specialized patient transportation using hospital lift equipped vehicles for non-ambulatory, non-emergent services, and specially equipped mini vans for ambulatory patient and cargo style vehicles for bulk material supply transport/deliveries within a seven county service area. Specialists utilize GPS/navigation/transportation software on a wireless communication device (smartphone) for critical and routine communications with clients/customers and dispatching team members. Computer skills are used to enter daily driving activity into an automated scheduling system. Secondly, performs tasks related to vehicle maintenance and safety checks to ensure an environment that promotes continuous quality improvement, reflects and treats each individual with respect and compassion - the way they should be treated. This position is physical in nature and requires exposure to the elements. What you will need: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid WI driver's license with acceptable driving record. At least 21 years of age or older. At least three years driving experience with a safe driving record. Experience in driving a full size van (15 passenger), para-transit bus, and/or cube truck with lift gate. Knowledge of/or experience in the field of traffic safety. Knowledge and experience driving in Waukesha and several surrounding southeastern WI counties. First Aid Certification OR ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
