Summary: This position provides executive-level administrative support to the Chief of Staff at Metropolitan State University of Denver. The role requires professionalism, discretion, and insightful judgment, along with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and streamline administrative systems. Key responsibilities include managing calendars, scheduling, email prioritization, and project management. The assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, handling confidential matters and facilitating communication. They develop meeting materials, reports, and presentations, and assist with special projects and executive searches. The role also involves supporting senior leadership meetings, creating agendas, minutes, and proposals, and following up on action items. Additionally, the assistant manages the day-to-day administrative affairs for the Chief of Staff, including scheduling appointments, handling correspondence, and making travel arrangements. They provide back-up support for the President's Executive Assistant and work closely with the Chief of Staff on various initiatives. The position demands a high level of discretion, independent judgment, and the ability to work in a diverse environment. Position Schedule Information:
Salary for Announcement: Under Colorado law, MSU Denver is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $80,000 - $90,000. This position is paid monthly and is eligible for MSU Denver benefits.
