Day to Day Role:

  • Perform maintenance and repair on tow motors, forklifts, and powered industrial trucks (PIT).
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues specific to tow motor equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency
  • Maintain detailed logs and documentation for tow motor repairs and inspections.
  • Install, diagnose, analyze, maintain, modify, repair, and/or rebuild plant machinery, facility equipment, and tow motor-related systems.
  • Collaborate with operators and other personnel to identify equipment issues and determine root causes.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations for tow motors and facility equipment.
  • Assist with change-overs, setups, and adjustments for production machinery and tow motor integration.
  • Prioritize work assignments to support production schedules and minimize downtime.

Core Skills and Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years' experience preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair with expertise in tow motor or PIT equipment maintenance. Candidates with at least five (5) years of this experience can be considered for Level III.
  • Knowledge of mechanical components, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and automated controls related to tow motors.
  • Proficiency in operating, troubleshooting, and repairing tow motors and forklifts.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, schematic drawings, and technical documents.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office for modifying basic reports and spreadsheets.
  • Certification in Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) operation and safety
  • Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and compliance with safety standards.
  • Vocational, Technical, or Associate Degree in Machine Tool, Machine Maintenance, Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanics, Automation Controls, or related fields preferred
