A startup CPG company in the South Bay is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team. In this role, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing AP and AR, month-end, and inventory accounting. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field 8+ years of accounting experience Must have public accounting experience Must have worked in an inventory-based environment CPA a plus Must be an experienced Accounting Manager Advanced Excel What will you do in this Accounting Manager position? Supervise the AP and AR functions to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.? Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies. ? Oversee the monthly financial close process, including reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements preparation.? Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met and financial statements comply with GAAP. ? Manage inventory accounting processes, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting of inventory.? Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to monitor inventory levels and resolve discrepancies.? Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.? Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.? Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes. Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.?
