Job Summary
Our Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that drive profitability and operational efficiency for the Appliances division. This role involves identifying and managing global suppliers, negotiating costs, ensuring supply chain reliability, and leading cross-functional initiatives. The manager will play a key role in cost optimization, supplier performance management, and process improvements while serving as the primary liaison between the company and key vendors.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management (50%)



  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned product categories to achieve cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers, ensuring they align with business goals and compliance standards.
  • Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships, conducting performance evaluations and driving continuous improvement.
  • Lead negotiations for product and tooling costs, securing optimal pricing and terms while mitigating risks.
  • Ensure suppliers maintain sufficient tooling and production capacity to meet fluctuating production demands.


Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration (30%)



  • Oversee cost change approvals and drive consensus on supplier selections for new projects.
  • 14px;">Lead cross-functional projects with counterparts in New Product Development, Quality, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, etc. to optimize sourcing decisions and drive vendor accountability.
  • Serve as the escalation point for vendor-related issues, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
  • Develop and implement internal improvement initiatives to enhance sourcing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.


Financial & Operational Oversight (20%)



  • Analyze market trends, commodity pricing, and currency fluctuations to inform sourcing strategies.
  • Drive cost improvement initiatives while preventing unnecessary cost increases.
  • Ensure accurate pricing and data management in SAP, overseeing the Price Change Notification process.
  • Provide regular reporting on sourcing performance, cost savings, and supplier KPIs to senior leadership.

Education and Experience Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management experience, preferably in a global environment.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sourcing plans.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in cost analytics, contract negotiations, and commodity pricing analysis.
  • Experience managing global suppliers, particularly in Asia, and navigating international trade considerations.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Work Environment

Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

This is a hybrid role that id typically work from home Monday and Friday and will work out of our Middleton, WI offices Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
