The 2025 ATSG Summer Internship Program is a structured 10-week initiative designed to provide college students with hands-on experience across ATSG and its subsidiary companies. While some positions may be listed under specific ATSG business units, all internships are part of our company-wide program, offering a unified experience that includes professional development, mentorship, and networking opportunities. Interns will work within their assigned subsidiaries while benefiting from ATSG's overarching structure, resources, and program events. With competitive pay and housing options available, this program is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable industry experience while being part of a leading aviation services provider About This Internship The Engineering Internship at Airborne Maintenance & Engineering Services, Inc. (AMES) offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience in aircraft engineering, structural analysis, and regulatory compliance. AMES, a subsidiary of Air Transport Services Group (ATSG), provides industry-leading aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services to a global network of customers. This internship is ideal for students pursuing Avionics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering degrees who are looking to develop hands-on technical skills while supporting real-world aviation projects. Key Responsibilities * Assist the AMES Engineering group with daily project tasks and technical assignments * Support engineering certification and project teams in modifying B767 aircraft to meet customer requirements * Contribute to the Airline Support Engineering (ASE) group by helping resolve daily structural issues * Work with the Aircraft Data and Asset Management group on airworthiness directive (AD) compliance, maintenance planning, and fleet asset reviews Required Skills & Qualifications * Currently pursuing a degree in Avionics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for technical troubleshooting * Ability to interpret engineering documentation and aircraft maintenance records * Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within multidisciplinary teams Preferred Skills & Experience * Coursework or experience related to aircraft maintenance, engineering certification, or structural repairs * Familiarity with FAA regulations, airworthiness directives, and maintenance planning documentation * Proficiency with engineering design or analysis software is a plus Additional Information * Location: Wilmington, OH * Duration: May 27th - August 1st, 2025 * Housing: Available for eligible interns Important Candidate Information All internship candidates must be at least 18 years of age and will be required to successfully complete a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
