Responsibilities

Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. In addition, we have numerous facilities in locations throughout the Texoma region. Since 1965, TMC has forged a special relationship with the people of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Development Manager oversees the provision of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service activities within the Marketing/Business Development
Department. The Business Development Manager is responsible for achieving the desired utilization of the organization's continuum of care through the
effective application of marketing principles and methods. The Business Development Manager is responsible for the facility's strategic marketing plan,
enhancing the facility's brand/image, management of all sales and business development activities and maintaining an active and productive working
relationship with internal departments and communicates issues or potential problems proactively, especially with BHC CEO and Intake Department. This
position requires traveling. Hours are based on departmental, and facility needs and may include day, evening, and weekend hours, as directed by BHC CEO.
Participates in Administration on Call if requested by BHC CEO. The Business Development Manager has a dotted line of reporting to the TMC Director of
Marketing.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management or comparable healthcare related field
    required. Master's degree preferred in Healthcare Administration or comparable healthcare related field a plus.
    Combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • At least three (3) years' leadership experience in a health care business development position with extensive
    community education/ business development experience resulting in measurable results, and with direct experience
    developing managed care agreements (especially with capitation and at-risk areas.) Candidates with detailed
    knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles highly preferred. Prior marketing and/or sales
    experience within a behavioral healthcare setting highly preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with good driving record and valid insurance. Handle with Care, and Verbal DeEscalation training must be completed during new hire orientation and annually prior to working in a clinical setting.
    Additional training to be completed with respective timeline.
  • Must possess initiative and proactive relationship building and maintaining skills to foster community partnerships.
    Must possess demonstrated superior leadership abilities and excellent written and oral communication skills;
    knowledge of and skills in application of marketing principles including product, placement, pricing and promotion as
    well as management of sales, advertising, social media, online presence and, public relations resources; creativity
    and flexibility; skills in data collection and analysis, interpretation, application and, evaluation; strategic planning skills;
    record of adherence to deadlines; customer service skills; teaching or training skills; willingness to travel, including
    overnight travel as required. Prefer knowledge of the Sherman/Dallas/North Texas greater metro area behavioral
    health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets and referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency
    treatment, and age-specific programming.
