Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Office Manager for
UBHC Managed Care Services. This position performs a wide variety of administrative and support services within Managed Care Services. Manages office support operations and activities; manages environment of care issues.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Plans and schedules the work of section to make maximum effective utilization of direct reports, equipment, materials and resources within budgetary requirements.
- Develops and implements controls for work assignments under the direction of the Director.
- Recommends the hiring, firing, promoting, demoting, merit increases, transfers and/or disciplining of employees and other personnel changes.
- Responsible for writing and conducting performance evaluations for assigned staff.
- Serves as principal liaison between the department and other administrative units such as Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Human Resources and Information Services and Technology.
- Evaluates office procedures, establishes standards and recommends and implements new or modified procedures as needed.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Associates Degree plus two (2) years of administrative or lead secretarial experience.
- Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated excellent customer service, organizational, computer, and communication skills are required.
