Moog's Industrial Supply Chain Group is seeking a Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing Manager.You will be responsible for the development of strategic sourcing plans including supplier identification and selection, negotiation and closing of high value long term agreements, supplier relationship management, supplier partnership and development as well as general contractual suppliers. Your ability to effectively manage relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders throughout the process is critical. You will report to the Manager, Sector Supply Chain in Murphy, North Carolina.

Here's what you'll be working on day to day:

  • Leads the development of strategic sourcing plans simultaneously for multiple commodity groups

  • Supports and makes recommendations to facilitate AG Make vs Buy strategy decisions

  • Evaluates global market environment

  • Leads the development and management of commodity strategic plans to achieve AG business requirements

  • Identifies, selects & develops strategic supplier partnerships to generate new supplier capability or competency to generate competitive advantage. Includes determining required investment in training & development, incl. requirements for long term/permanent residence on site at supplier.

  • Develops channels of supply to achieve reduced lead time and Moog inventory holding, increased quality and delivery and therefore lowest total cost (not just the lowest purchase price)

  • Supplier Relationship Management, supported by Regional SC Management

  • Contract & pricing negotiation and maintenance including claim management

To be considered for this role, here are the skills you'll bring with you:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree preferred in Business Administration Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • Greater than seven years of progressive experience in the field of manufacturing or related field

  • Negotiating skills combined with knowledge of procurement and contractual law are preferred.

  • Excellent working knowledge and understanding of contractual requirements, business systems and processes.

It would be great if you also had:

  • Certification in Purchasing, Supply Chain, additional education, and a master's degree in business

Salary Range Transparency:

Murphy, NC $70,000.00-$110,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
