Thomas is looking to fill the position of Utility/Facility Grounds Maintenance . This position serves in the areas of light maintenance repairs, lawn and snow care, and custodial. Performs maintenance, carpentry, painting and other facilities functions as well as snow removal and landscaping duties as directed. Staff member will join the Physical Plant team to assist in completing the ongoing needs of all campus facilities. This is a first shift position, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Must be able to read and write; have knowledge of proper use of hand and power tools and the ability to operate lawn and snow-removal equipment. Evaluate situations and be able to make good decisions. Ability to read and respond to caution labels associated with cleaning chemicals and other associated tools of the trade. Must be able to pass a criminal background check and fitness-for-duty test. An acceptable driving record is highly desirable. Minimum of two years' experience preferred in the aforementioned responsibilities, good, to superior, references in the field. HS diploma or GED certificate is required.
