Job Summary:
The Electrical and Instrumentation Lead is a Monday through Friday position with on-call responsibilities
nights and weekends, if needed. This is a great opportunity if you are an experienced Industrial
Electrician, Electrical and Controls Technician, Electrical and Instrumentation Technician (E& I Tech),
Electrical Technician, Instruments and Electric Tech, or similar.
Analyzes, troubleshoots, implements, improves, and maintains electrical power circuits and equipment.
Maintains and upgrades control and automation systems and instrumentation, electronic and
pneumatic equipment used in pump stations, water plant operations, and measurement facilities. Key Characteristics:
* Duties include installing, inspecting, maintaining, operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and
calibrating various mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and electronic equipment. Along
with completing all appropriate documentation associated with the duties.
* Perform preventative maintenance checks on pumps, compressors, drives, and auxiliary
equipment.
* Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
* Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory
requirements.
* Mentor and train employees when the opportunity presents itself.
* Maintain electrical switch gear and power distribution
* Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all tools and equipment as needed.
* Oversee the construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties.
* Stay up to date on Operations Qualifications and required training.
* Interface and communicate with customers and suppliers as required.
* Complies with company safety and quality policies and code of conduct. Duties & Responsibilities:
* Follow good housekeeping practices by keeping maintenance and tool storage area neat and
clean as well as timely cleanup of work area after each job is completed
* Install new equipment or rearranges existing equipment
* Is available on call for emergency repairs as needed to keep plant in good running order
* Maintain preventative maintenance records and perform preventative maintenance on plant
and road equipment
* Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Proficient with electronic test instruments and measurement devices.
* Knowledge and experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints and
diagrams.
* Experience working with water treatment equipment is a plus.
* Ability to work with a team and coordinate work schedules.
* Demonstrates a high attention to details and is able to follow work processes, standards, and
requirements.
* Must be able to work from elevated platforms, excavated areas, ladders, stairwells, walkways,
etc
* Knowledge of simple programming and PLC software preferred.
* Must be able to respond to, and address, callouts and emergencies (within 1 hour) during and
after regular business hours. Qualifications
Preferred:
* Instrument, Controls and Mechanical Maintenance Experience
* Electrical panel board experience
* Motor Controls experience
* Positive displacements pump repair experience
* Trade school experience for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or mechanical repair is highly
desired Education & Experience
Required
* High School Diploma, G.E.D.
* Minimum of 1 year of Instrument and Controls, OR mechanical repair and maintenance work
experience * At least 1 year of Electrical install, repair, and maintenance work experience to include
electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming, and 480V 3 Phase electrical repair and
maintenance experience
* Electrical Certification
* Mechanical / Rotating Equipment Maintenance and training Additional Information
