Overview

The Credit derivatives desk is part of Credit Flow Trading, sitting within the Global Financing & Credit Trading (GF&CT) business unit. The trading desk acts as a market maker in Credit Single Name CDS & Options to provide liquidity to our clients. As a seasoned Director, partnering closely with the broader Credit Flow Trading team, Institutional Client Group (ICG), Research Analysts, and Capital Markets to drive business growth and support Deutsche Bank's new issue business.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the team in acting as a market maker to provide liquidity to clients in Credit Single Name CDS
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to build the franchise with clients and capture market share
  • Oversee and manage the market risk exposure of trading positions, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Leverage the ICG Credit sales team to source liquidity and drive business growth
  • Collaborate with Desk Analysts to critically evaluate trading opportunities and identify areas for improvement

How You'll Lead

  • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to junior Traders on the desk, developing their skills and expertise; foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and risk management within the team
  • Drive business growth by building the Deutsche Bank Credit franchise with clients and capturing market share
  • Generate trade ideas alongside Sales & Research, leveraging your expertise and market knowledge

Skills You'll Need

  • Proven track record as a senior trader in Credit derivative or leader in the Credit Single Name CDS market, with experience on the buy/sell side
  • Established relationships with buy-side clients active in this space, with a strong network and market presence
  • Deep knowledge of the derivatives market and experience trading this sector, with a strong understanding of risk management and profitable trading strategies

  • Self-starter

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $200K to $485K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
