We are seeking to hire a 2026 summer associate to join our Healthcare Practice Group in our Los Angeles office. Qualified candidates will be rising second-year law students who have a demonstrated interest, concentration, background, and/or experience in healthcare, including corporate transactional, regulatory/compliance, and/or investigations/litigation related-work in the health care sector. Our attorneys represent clients in all areas of healthcare, from established hospital systems and academic medical centers and managed care organizations to start-up digital health and telemedicine providers. From regulatory compliance and corporate transactions to reimbursement, financing, investigations, and litigation matters, Nixon Peabody lawyers in the Healthcare Practice Group deliver real-time insights and legal guidance to clients across the healthcare continuum. With 80+ attorneys practicing health care law on the ground in 13 offices and managing health care issues for clients across the country, Nixon Peabody is at the heart of the health care industry. The firm's health care practice works with more than 2,400 clients nationwide including hospitals and health systems, academic medical centers, accountable care organizations, private equity funds, long-term care facilities, IPAs and medical groups, and other types of providers. Our summer associates provide legal research, writing, and other substantive support for our attorneys on projects that are both challenging and exciting. You will also receive substantive feedback and mentoring on assignments. We also offer various training programs throughout the duration of the program. Qualified candidates will have strong academic credentials (3.0 GPA or higher), superb judgment and communication skills, excellent legal writing skills, and a commitment to teamwork and excellent client service. This is a hybrid position with four days in-office expectations during the 2026 summer.
