The Product Development Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to assist with calculating system-level test coverage using both structural and functional tests. In this role, you will work closely with our test architecture, test methodology and quality assurance teams to analyze test data, evaluate test coverage, and help identify areas of improvement in our testing processes.

The work will span across industry leading products forArtificial Intelligence(AI),Machine Learning (ML),and High-Performance Computing(HPC)applications.Specifically, this role is focused on quantifying manufacturing test coverage.

JOB DETAILS:

  • Location: Austin, Texas
  • Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires the student to work full time either in a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term.
  • Duration: Fall 2025 August - December

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Develops and implements test programs/software to test and analyze AMD products.
  • Develops test requirements and specifications.
  • Develops software tools and scripts that support test process, program debug/audit, test time analysis etc.
  • Performs logic and circuit design verification via software and hardware.
  • Works with product engineering, characterization, and platform debug teams to define and debug existing and new products.
  • Debugs test infrastructure issues in hardware, software, device, or manufacturing flow domains.
  • Support product improvement activities including driving cost reduction and yield improvement initiatives and resolving quality issues.
  • Works on related projects and/or assignments as needed.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • Basic understanding of system level testing concepts, including test coverage, functional testing, and structural testing.

  • Familiarity with test coverage tools and methodologies (e.g., code coverage analysis tools).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good understanding of programming concepts, with experience in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C, Java).

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
