We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Owner to join our team. This role is pivotal in representing the software marketing department within a cross-functional team, working closely with software business enablement and Keysight corporate IT on web and marketing automation capability roadmaps and implementation to deliver customer experience excellence end-to-end. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, Agile product ownership, multi-functional and IT collaboration
Responsibilities
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between the Marketing department, IT team, and new DES SBE program manager, Tamie Labar, ensuring transparent communication and seamless translation of strategic vision to actionable requirements.
- Product Ownership: Facilitate requirements gathering and prioritization of web and marketing automation initiatives, ensuring they are delivered timely and achieving successful outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key marketing stakeholders to gather requirements, key IT stakeholders to provide updates, and ensure all marketing needs are met
- Performance Monitoring: Working with the SBE Program Manager, track and analyze the performance of web and marketing automation initiatives, providing data-driven insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Roadmap Development: Contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive end-to-end web and marketing automation directional roadmap, aligning with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
- Innovation & Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in marketing automation and web technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation within the team.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in a product owner or similar role, with a focus on marketing and IT integration.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Agile scrum methodology and organizational skills.
- Bridging the gap between Software Business Enablement strategy, customer experience and technical development, for the marketing function. Product owners act as a bridge to connect Marketing Function's needs and the Strategic management function.
- Writing clear User Stories and keeping the Backlog of stories refined. Responsible for drafting and refining marketing stories into tasks that the development team can execute on. They translate marketing's vision into actionable User Stories. Able to explain to the dev team 'the how' and 'the why' behind all user "marketing" stories and other tasks they're prioritizing.
- Staying accessible to development to quickly answer questions. Development sprints are time-boxed-usually two weeks, or a month -the team will need answers and guidance quickly. POs should have the answers and not require external assistance. The PO must be comfortable making fast and sound decisions.
- Managing and prioritizing the product backlog. Ensure the team remains fiercely focused and executes according to strategic marketing goals and priorities. Close collaboration with the IT Leads/Scrum Master to organize sprints. Review backlog of Marketing User Stories and development tasks and prioritizingwhat the developers should take on next.
- Proficiency in marketing automation tools and web technologies.
- Modern Integrated Marketing Tech Stack:
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot, Eloqua, or Pardot.
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems like Salesforce.
- Knowledge of data analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Understanding of email marketing tools and strategies.
- Familiarity with social media management tools like Hootsuite or Buffer.
- Knowledge of Modern Web Design and Technology:
- Understanding of UX/UI design principles and best practices.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Drupal, DAM (AEM) or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of SEO and web analytics tools.
- Familiarity with creation and optimization of wireframes to enhance user experience (UX) and customer experience (CX).
- Experience in conducting usability testing and implementing feedback to improve web design.
