The Director of U.S. Commercial Learning and Development is accountable for design, development, and execution of New Hire Field Force Phased Learning across seven key sales functions, as well as execution of Sales Leadership & US Operations Leadership Training. The incumbent will partner with a cross section of leaders throughout US Operations to design and implement programs and solutions aimed at creating an environment of continuous learning while developing relevant performance solutions that elevate clinical, business, selling, and professional knowledge to improve the overall customer experience.

The incumbent is expected to bring broad sales and leadership experience, coaching facilitation, project management, implementation and analytical skills to support colleague development. The incumbent will be highly collaborative, able to build sustainable relationships and a trusted and skilled communicator. This role will report to the Head of US Commercial Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the US Learning group that serves US Operations team comprised of more than1,700 colleagues across seven business functional units: Petcare, Diagnostics, Beef, Dairy, Equine, Pork, Poultry
  • Accountable for the delivery of sales development programs, including New Hire and leadership excellence - while ensuring objectives are aligned across the organization with an eye towards innovation
  • Partner with each Business Unit's sales and marketing leadership teams to understand key strategies and product focus areas to ensure a ready now sales force for both new and mature brands
  • Ensure colleagues can effectively leverage our Solutions Selling Model throughout the sales process.
  • Be a strategic partner across departments allowing stakeholders to leverage learning enablement expertise to develop relevant resources to drive business or develop skills.
  • Sets direction and vision across the team that ultimately leads toward onboarding excellence in customer engagement and satisfaction.

      • US Operations Leadership Development
  • Champion a blended learning curriculum that encompasses SuccessFactors, Learning Management System (LMS), instructor-led training and other e/mobile platforms such as Q stream to ensure knowledge transfer.
  • Establishes measurement effectiveness, efficiency and program impact and communicates outcomes and learnings.
  • Implement, prioritize, and monitor best-practice process methodologies to establish and determine team activity.
  • Establish consistent, standardized, and repeatable approaches to managing content, training, surveys, logistics and metrics.
  • Coach and ensure departmental budgets are leveraged properly and all efforts have a business case, including managing multiple vendor contracts and partner relationships.
  • Identify gaps and drive predictive analysis of sales development needs across the species groups, in addition to keeping an eye on continuous improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10 years professional experience in a combination of Learning and Development, Sales and Sales Management, Sales Training, and leadership of professional teams.

Experience:

  • Program and project management experience
  • Change management experience includes assessing risks and benefits, building a strong case for change, engaging appropriate stakeholders, developing effective change management strategies, creating communication and support plans, and sustaining change.
  • Ability to effectively work in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment at many levels across the organization where a superior degree of customer service is required.
  • Solid understanding of adult learning, instructional design, and curriculum development, including familiarity with latest trends in learning and sustainment.
  • Experience leveraging and implementing new digital learning approaches and technologies.
  • Experience in developing and designing training programs and/or product launches.
  • Experience preferred in operation of a Learning Management System

Knowledge, Skills, Ability Requirements:

  • Strong consulting and influencing skills.
  • Good analytical skills, BI and Tableau knowledge a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including good presentation & facilitation skills.
  • Skilled in PowerPoint and excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, mentor and grow a team of professionals.

Physical Skill Requirements:

  • Position preferred based in Parsippany (but could be remote)
  • Travel requirement: approximately 25%

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to
be located in (Colorado). Base pay may vary based on location and other factors.

Base Pay Range: $160,000 - $240,000

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in (California), (NJ Remote), (NY Remote), or (Washington). Base pay may vary based on location and
other factors.

Base Pay Range: $180,000 - $270,000

[This position is eligible for short-term incentive compensation.] [The position is also eligible for long-term incentive.]
