Test Engineering Coop

Are you passionate about engineering? Do you like to think up, create, design, build, and test bleeding edge new products? Are you looking for a hands-on position working on real products? If so, you could be a great fit for our team!

Based in Huntsville, AL, SCI Technology's Test Engineering Development Group, with the stability and resources of a Fortune-500 company, is seeking a highly motivated Co-Op candidate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering to join our team and shape future products. Working with technology partners, we rapidly develop test solutions for a wide range of defense, aerospace, and commercial products.

The successful candidates could be involved in a wide range of the test development; including designing mechanical test sets and fixtures, designing electrical PWA's for test set and fixture integration, and developing test software for leading edge airborne and/or subsea systems not yet seen by the public. Depending on the individual's background and interests, work will involve computer-based design and modeling, rapid fabrication of new designs with both our in-house fabrication capabilities and/or contractor test fixture fabrication facilities.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, debugging, and maintaining test systems .
• Creating and improving test related processes and procedures
• Effective and clear communication to management on the status of projects.
• Collaborating in a team environment to complete tasks and projects.

Education/Experience:

• US Citizenship is required (Due to DoD, ITAR and other regulations)
• Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or CS Major (sophomore-senior only)
• Interested in functional testing hardware and software troubleshooting, and manufacturing support.
• Training or experience with analog and digital circuits; computer repair and troubleshooting.
