Administrator Fellow

Job Summary

The Post Doctoral Fellow will be part of CSH's Psychology fellowship program which provides a rich variety of experiences for students within the context of the nation's largest pediatric rehabilitative hospital. The fellow evaluates patient s psychotherapeutic needs, performs psychological testing and provides psychotherapy for outpatient populations as indicated.

Essential Job Functions

Performs complete psychodiagnostic evaluations as indicated.

Disseminates findings accurately and sensitively, and according to Department policy.

Provides effective individual, family, group psychotherapy as indicated.

Identifies realistic goals for psychotherapy.

Attends program development and case conferences as indicated for patients treated or evaluated.

Provides effective team consultation as needed.

Displays competency in obtaining and interpreting the parent s behavior based upon an understanding of cognitive, biopsychosocial and aging processes.

Displays an understanding of the developmental needs of the patient when planning and implementing treatment.

Meet minimum annual expected volumes.

Formal Education and Job-Related Experience

• Requires a PhD, PsyD or EdD
• High preference given to candidates with related Fellowship and/or internship experience.
• High preference given to candidates with experience in cognitive behavioral modification.
• High preference given to candidates with experience working with children|teens on the Autism Spectrum.
• Ability to work effectively in a hospital setting.
• Ability to relate therapeutically with the professional team, children, adolescents and their parents|significant others.
• Flexibility, both in work hours and in performance of duties.

Certification

• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider Certification required.

License

New Jersey Psychologist permit holder.
