Lead with Purpose. Drive Results That Matter.

At MSHS Pacific Power Group, we keep the world moving-from marine vessels and military fleets to critical backup power systems. We're seeking a high-performing Workshop Manager to lead our Fort Lauderdale operations, overseeing a team of up to 23 service professionals across shop and field operations.

This is more than a traditional manager role-it's a leadership opportunity with direct impact on performance, quality, and customer satisfaction across high-value diesel and gaseous engine projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate all operations across the shop and field service teams (4 direct reports, up to 23 total personnel)
  • Manage technical projects including diagnostics, maintenance, repair, and overhauls of diesel and gaseous engine systems
  • Hire, train, and coach team members while driving a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Manage customer estimates, project budgets, work scopes, and service contracts
  • Implement and maintain 5S, cleanliness, and operational efficiency standards across the workshop
  • Collaborate with internal leadership to enhance processes and resolve technical or customer-facing issues
  • Monitor KPIs, enforce safety compliance, and ensure on-time, high-quality project delivery
  • Travel up to 10% to support regional field work and customer engagements
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with diesel engines, marine engines, or power generation systems
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience including team management, budgeting, and customer quoting
  • Proven experience managing full shop operations or field service environments with P&L accountability
  • Deep technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical engine systems
  • Strong ability to lead teams through change, set performance expectations, and build operational structure
  • (Please Note: This role is not aligned with backgrounds focused on automotive, general manufacturing, or warehouse engine environments. We are specifically seeking professionals with direct experience in marine engines, diesel/gaseous generator systems, and stationary power equipment.)
Desired Skills
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and standard business software
  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
  • Experience building relationships with C-suite and senior stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field preferred
  • Background in marine, defense, or stationary power sectors is a strong plus
