Overview Assists chemists and chemical engineers conducting chemical and physical laboratory tests using instrumental techniques in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids and gaseous materials related to product development or quality control of production processes or products | Performs quantitative and qualitative analyses in organic, inorganic, physical, analytical chemistry, photochemistry or electrochemistry to determine the chemical and physical properties of materials, liquids and gases Major Position Responsibilities * Evaluates the chemical and physical properties of various organic and inorganic substances. * Utilizes established methods and procedures and laboratory equipment to perform analytical testing of substances. * Prepares compounds, reagents, and solutions. * Develops and writes technical reports of testing results. * Consistent exercise of discretion and judgment * Requires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within a job discipline * Performs routine assignments using existing procedures * Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles * Entry level to a professional career progression Basic Qualifications Required Education: Associate's Degree OR Equivalent Combination of Relevent Education & Experience Associate's Degree Equivalent Combination of Relevent Education & Experience
