About the role

The Operations Team Lead works directly for the Facility Supervisor. This position coordinates the work load and schedule for the Distillation Team. The lead oversees the daily operations of this team of the distillation process including but not limited to recovered Decalin, process Glycerin, Honeywell Oil recovery, and toner processing.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary duties include, but are not limited to the following:

* Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, procedures and acting in a safe manner at all times.

* Oversees facility technicians to perform distillation operations.

* Oversees the operations pertaining to distillation including boiler operations, distillation, etc..

* Oversees the boiler room and all operations pertaining to the boilers

* Oversees and complete inspections of distillation products

* Identify ways to maximize production, while minimizing costs through motivation, innovation and increased efficiency

* Coordinate with Operations Coordinator to ensure scheduling needs are met.

* Maintain daily inventory on all material and equipment associated with distillation

* Ensure cleanliness of all grounds around the distillation area.

* Load and unload tankers going to/from the tank farm.

* Oversees the distillation recovery operation in accordance with the SOP

* Ensure samples of inbound/outbound loads are provided to the lab prior to the material being offloaded or being released for outbound shipment

* Ensure containment in tank farm are free of contaminates and rainwater

* Inspect tank farm in accordance with SOP and document

* Inspect solvent storage and recovery areas daily in accordance with SOP and document

* Ensure tank farm and retention areas are kept clean

* Ensure private contractors complete contracted tasks

* Advise Maintenance of equipment malfunctions that require maintenance

* Operate heavy equipment such as but not limited to: Forklift, various man-lifts, trucks to move trailers on-site (non-CDL), roll-offs

* Complete Daily status reports on production and equipment

* Attend management meetings and present status reports on production and equipment

* Oversees the loading and unloading of containerized non-hazardous waste and/or products from transportation vehicles pertaining to distillation.

* Is available for "On Call" duty in a rotating group and when emergencies or special situations arise.

* A team player that leads by example.

* Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management as required by the needs of the business.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Good communications skills

* Ability to follow and give instructions and communicate appropriate information as necessary to effectively perform job duties

* Good driving record and valid state issued Driver's license

* Ability to operate computers including Excel and Word programs

* Work flexible hours if required

* GED/HS Diploma preferred - Reworld offers GED Works - a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Requires standing, walking, carrying, stooping, crouching, sitting, grasping and reaching

* May require lifting, pulling and/or pushing up to 50 lbs

* Travel as required
