As a Technical Operations Manager, you will lead daily data center operations, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance. Responsibilities include managing maintenance, expansions, and repairs, overseeing the National Operations Center, driving performance improvements, and collaborating on cross-functional projects. You'll manage vendors, staff hiring and training, and work independently to meet goals. The role demands strong leadership, problem-solving skills, regular on-call duty, and a 50+ hour workweek.

To be successful, you should have:        

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field are preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in vendor management, complex mechanical/electrical systems, and adapting to shifting priorities.
  • At least 3 years managing 20+ direct and indirect reports.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and personnel issues.
  • Experience with inventory management, logistics, and remote reporting is a plus.

Your responsibilities as the Technical Operations Manager will include:        

  • Manage daily operations, staff, and systems across multiple data centers to ensure efficiency, reliability, and compliance.
  • Lead planning and execution of maintenance, repairs, expansions, and vendor coordination for all facilities.
  • Oversee the National Operations Center and drive operational improvements through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, regulatory compliance, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate personnel while managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
