Position Overview:

The Assistant Branch Manager supports the Retail Private Banker in the leading a team and the daily operations of the branch. In the Retail Private Banker's absence, the Assistant Branch Manager takes charge of the branch, manages sales, and ensures staff adherence to both internal and external policies and regulations. Additionally, the Assistant Branch Manager leads the team in delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Assists the Retail Private Banker in the development, expansion and management of consumer and business account relationships within a branch, concentrating efforts in meeting customer needs for financial products and services.
  • Identify additional potential opportunities and develop action plans to expand relationships; utilize sales programs to acquire new relationships.
  • Identify and refer business opportunities to partners across the bank including wealth, lending and financial services.
  • Assist staff to promoting the sale of the bank products and services by cross training the team on policies & procedures to increase their knowledge and productivity.
  • Assist the Branch Manager in administering Bank security policies and procedures.
  • Conducts branch audits on a routine basis
  • Prepares and reviews daily, weekly and monthly branch reports as required
  • Perform teller duties, prove the main cash vault, the ATM's and coin machines, when needed and to ensure that work is processed, and daily proof is performed in accordance with bank policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all established internal policies and external regulations and suitability of the branch environment for business. Keeps current with pertinent banking regulations, including but not limited to Reg. DD, Reg. CC, BSA, CRA, Right to Financial Privacy Act, FDIC insurance provisions, etc.


Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED required, College Degree in a related field preferred.
  • 2 years + of leadership and coaching experience required
  • Working knowledge of bank products & services
  • Ability to model cross-selling techniques & close sales
  • Ability to resolve customer questions or complaints
  • Ability to manage staff and resolve conflicts
  • Ability to foster open communications; deliver presentations; demonstrate listening, speaking and written communication skills and translate technical materials
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external networks
  • Ability to act with integrity; demonstrate adaptability; work commitment; maintain a positive performance in all situations

The approximate pay range for this position is $80,000 to $115,000, plus an opportunity to earn performance-based incentives. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as geographic location.
