To ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained hotel facilities, amenities, meeting spaces, guest rooms and public spaces while providing painting and esthetic services to guests in a courteous, professional and engaging manner. The Painter is responsible for painting, plastering, and wallpapering public and guest areas.

Maintain (paint, wallpaper, plaster, etc.) all public areas, guest rooms, meeting rooms and amenities on an on-going basis.
• Keep the hotel decor in good condition.
• Paint, stain, varnish furniture and decor.
• Completion of all assigned work orders and daily tasks.
• Clean all work areas after completing job.
• Fill out Daily Work form and communicate pass-on information to the Engineering team.
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations.
• Have a thorough understanding of OSHA rules and regulations.
• Be familiar with all hotel amenities and hotel facilities
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
• Effectively operate a two way radio, power and hand tools required to complete responsibilities.
• Perform other duties | special projects as assigned by Engineering Management

• • Familiar with all types of paint, different finishes and sheens.
  • Experienced in drywall installations and repairs.
  • Familiar with rolls, brushes, sprays and textures applications
  • At least one year of prior painting experience is required
  • Wallpaper, wallcovering and vinyl experience is required
  • Excellent customer service and problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, days and nights.

Physical Requirements

• • Walk, stand, climb, bend, reach over-head, squat and kneel for long periods at a time, as the position requires constant motion. Crawling for short periods of time.
  • Lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance and push/ pull objects weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance.
  • Candidates must be able to utilize step stools and ladders effectively.
  • Interior of hotel. Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
  • Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
  • Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.
