Position: Packer II Location: Hartselle, AL - Sonoco Plugs Pay Rate: $20.95 /HR Shift: 6a - 6p Summary: Set up, operate and adjust packaging equipment to package product for shipping. Responsibilities: - Set up and operate packaging line equipment, including but not limited to high speed packaging lines, robotic case packers, shrink wrap machines, banding equipment, etc. - Inspect product to ensure conformance to quality standards. - Adjust equipment as needed to maintain correct speeds and production levels. - Monitor supply of materials and replenish as necessary. - Maintain accurate records of production outputs and waste material. - Assist in maintenance activities such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or defective parts. - Troubleshoot issues on the production floor as they arise. - Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). - Collaborate with other workers and supervisors to optimize production processes and solve problems. Qualifications: - Ability to lift, push, pull, and walk frequently throughout the day. - Basic knowledge of computers and software programs. - Good communication skills and attention to detail. - High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred. - Previous manufacturing experience desired.n At Sonoco Products Company, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package, including competitive pay and benefits.
