DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Senior Center Services Director 2, you will be responsible for serving the residents of Luzerne and Wyoming counties by providing oversight and administration of the congregate meal program in 16 different centers, in addition to maintaining the current nutrition services policy as developed by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging. You will provide nutrition and sanitation training and in-services to center staff and volunteers to ensure compliance with all current nutrition regulations. This professional also conducts site visits to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal mandates regarding policies and procedures. Another primary focus of this position is monitoring and assessing the quality of nutrition and social programs through meetings with advisory groups, surveying consumers, and through on-site evaluations. Strong critical thinking skills are employed to develop and recommend relevant policies and procedures for the overall operation of involved senior centers. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four (4) years of experience in a food service, social service or recreation program, including one (1) year in an administrative, supervisory or consultative capacity or two (2) years as a Senior Center Manager. College or business school may be substituted on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two (2) years for the general experience; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
