Environmental Project Manager Position Overview: CTI is seeking an experienced and driven individual to join our team as a Project Manager for our Department of Defense (DOD) business portfolio. As a growing engineering and environmental consulting, construction, and project delivery firm, we are dedicated to addressing complex environmental challenges our DOD customers face. This position will play a pivotal role in executing environmental investigation and/or remediation projects with specific DOD client accounts. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the DOD market, specifically AFCEC and/or USACE organizations, their environmental restoration / remediation requirements, and a proven track record in managing and developing successful environmental projects. Key Responsibilities: The Work This Project Manager of projects, personnel, and clients with focus on project management, personnel management/mentoring, and successful delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints. The Ideal Candidate Provides overall direction to a project or group of projects of considerable size, scope, and complexity. Ensures the accurate completion of all work products, proper quality control / quality assurance measures are in place consistent with corporate guidelines, and work procedures are performed in a safe manner. Education, Experience and Requirements
- 9+ years of Project Management experience with DOD (AFCEC and/or USACE) and related government contracting (required).
- 5+ years of experience in Waste Containment and Remediation Projects
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or Geology, Environmental Science, or related scientific field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred), or equivalent experience in project management roles.
- Professional license/certification (preferred). E.g., Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (PG)
- Lead the management and execution of assigned medium to large projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule, specifically in the DOD contract environment.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and work breakdown structures to guide project execution.
- Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with client expectations and company objectives.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and subcontractors, to ensure project milestones are met.
- Track project budgets and expenses, report on financial performance, and forecast project costs.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to minimize potential disruptions to project timelines or deliverables.
- Ensure projects are compliant with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards as required by government contracts.
- Communicate project status regularly to senior management, clients, and other stakeholders through formal reports and presentations.
- Coordinate and manage resources across multiple departments to ensure efficient project execution.
- Maintain accurate and complete project documentation, including contracts, reports, and change orders.
- Support CTI's Business Development in the pursuit of new DOD contracts and projects.
