The mission of the Engineering and Physics department at Johns Hopkins is to provide support to the Radiology and Radiological Science departments on the main campus and outpatient centers.

Johns Hopkins is currently searching for an Imaging Equipment Engineer Apprentice to join our Radiology team. The apprenticeship is a 24 month on the job training program that includes additional training by the original equipment manufacturers. Upon completion of the progam the apprentice will earn the needed certification and experience to promote to an Engineer I. The apprentice may also pursue certification through alternative means such as an Associate's degree or advanced military training in an engineering or IT discipline. As an Equipment Apprentice you will learn to perform maintenace and repairs on basic radiology devices.

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Basic knowledge in biomedical engineering
  • Certification after 24 months
  • Internship, hands on training, military experience required
  • Clinical/biomedical background preferred

Salary Range: Minimum $20.22/hour - Maximum $33.38/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
