Job Summary: The Program Manager-Physician Vitality serves as a therapist, educator, and physician/executive coach serving the mental health and wellness needs for LLU's School of Medicine students, residents, fellows and attending physicians. Manages the training and coordination for the physician peer support program. Assists in the collection and and review of various data to support and shaping of program improvements. Performs other duties as requested by the Director of the Office of Physician Vitality. Education and Experience: Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology or related field required. Minimum of 10 years' experience as a licensed mental health practitioner. Minimum five years' experience of college level teaching or offering workshops or lectures to medical clinicians. Minimum five years' experience related to clinic management or mental health program management requiring working with or serving physicians. Experience or certification for pastoral care, spiritual direction, or spirituality coaching preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of leadership training methodologies. Knowledge of clinical skills based on certifications, licensure, and advanced education in mental health discipline. Analyze and interpret observations according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. Make independent clinical decisions regarding course of therapy or coaching and eventual referrals as needed. Able to read and write; use computer and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access); operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, rules and laws; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position. Licensures and Certifications: License eligible, or current State of California license as Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or Psychologist required.
