ABOUT THE ROLE

The IT Infrastructure Technical Support Engineer is responsible for Microsoft 365 administration, cloud technologies (Azure/AWS), and application support. This role provides advanced technical support, ensures system security and performance, and drives process improvements through scripting and documentation.

What You Will Do

  • Microsoft 365 & Cloud Infrastructure Management

Administer and support Microsoft Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure AD. Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure and/or AWS, ensuring security, availability, and compliance. Lead or assist in migrations, upgrades, and integrations.

  • Technical Support & Automation

Provide 2nd-tier support for Microsoft 365 and related applications, resolving complex issues and adhering to SLAs. Develop and maintain PowerShell or Bash scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to enhance reliability and user experience.

  • Security, Documentation & Collaboration

Implement security best practices for identity, access, and compliance within cloud environments. Maintain accurate IT documentation and participate in change and incident management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align solutions with business goals, while demonstrating adaptability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure AD.

  • Proficient in scripting (PowerShell, shell) with experience in Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of IT security principles including identity management, access control, and compliance.

  • Proven ability to provide advanced technical support (Tier 2/3), create clear documentation, and follow ITSM best practices.

  • Excellent communication skills with experience supporting executives and collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Familiarity with, and eagerness to explore and integrate, emerging technologies (e.g. AI and blockchain etc.) to drive innovation and continuous learning.
